MINI TREX
This 4 day journey will take you to Oaxaca the weekend before its famous Day of the Dead festivities. All of the decorations, but without the crowds. Participants will arrive late afternoon to Oaxaca on a friday night and go out to dinner at zoclao street cafe. In the morning, you'll be at the ruins of Monte Alban for its opening and stay until noon. After lunch, the tour will continue to Monte Alban's little known sister city, Atzompa. On sunday the group will travel into the Valley of Oaxaca's eastern arm to visit the beautiful Zapotec ruins of Mitla and explore its tombs. On the way back to the city, they'll stop into the rug weaving town of Teotitlan de Valle and visit the 1500 year old Tule Tree. The final day will be free for either early flights home or exploring the city on one's own.
The guide for this tour will be Dr. Edwin Barnhart
